Karen Gilmore
Karen Gilmore is vice president and regional executive at the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. She is responsible for the Miami Branch's board of directors, leads Miami's community outreach and development activities, and oversees its economic and financial education programs. As part of the Bank's Regional Economic Information Network (REIN), she provides regional input into the Atlanta Fed's monetary policy process.
Before joining the Bank in 2014, Gilmore was managing partner at Applied Consulting Solutions. She also held senior leadership roles at City National Bank of Florida in Miami. There, she served as executive vice president and chief risk officer from January 2009 to May 2010 and executive vice president and senior lending executive from August 1998 to January 2009. Prior to that, Gilmore was senior vice president and private banking group manager at Bank of America and senior vice president at Intercontinental Bank.
Gilmore is director and chair emeritus of the Health Foundation of South Florida and is a member of the Healthy Aging Regional Collaborative. She is also a board member of the South Florida Center for Financial Training. Previously, she served on the YWCA-USA's board of directors and Asset Management Committee. She is former president, vice president, and treasurer for the YWCA of Greater Miami and former trustee for the Miami Chamber of Commerce.
Gilmore earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Central Florida.
