David Kelso is a Vice Chairman of the Private Bank. He has served in a variety of capacities since joining J.P. Morgan in 1995. In 1996 he launched the Alternative Investments business in the Private Bank which he managed until 2004. He established the Restricted Stock Trading Desk and managed the Margin Lending business from 1997 through 2001. Currently he serves as a Vice Chairman and oversees the recruiting and development program in the Private Bank. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan he served in the Treasury Department as a Deputy Director of the Office of Thrift Supervision from 1990 through the end of 1992. From 1977 to 1990, he worked in the Private Client Group at Goldman Sachs.
David grew up in Syracuse, New York. He holds a BA degree from Syracuse University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
