Elliot F. Hochman, JD, CPA, Board Certified Wills,, Trusts and Estates Law
Elliot F. Hochman is both an Attorney and Certified Public Accountant. He is also Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in Wills, Trusts, and Estates. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) Degree from Drake University Law School and his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) Degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Mr. Hochman worked as a Federal Judicial Clerk for the Federal Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Iowa and subsequently joined the international accounting firm of Touche Ross & Co. in Miami where he worked as a Tax Supervisor. Mr. Hochman later became associated with Rossow & Mayer, a tax law firm in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Mr. Hochman established his own practice in Palm Beach Gardens and became “Of Counsel” to Jonas and Wolmer, P.A.
Presently, Mr. Hochman is a shareholder with the firm he established known as Brookmyer, Hochman, Probst and Jonas, P.A. in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Mr. Hochman is admitted to practice in Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the United States Tax Court. Mr. Hochman is a member of the Florida Bar Tax Section, the American Bar Association Tax Section, and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Hochman is a past President of the Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council, Inc. and has served on their Board of Directors. He has authored an article pertaining to Estate Planning that has appeared in the Palm Beach Daily News as well as co-authored an article pertaining to the Florida Unitary Tax that appeared in national publications. He also authored tax planning ideas for distribution within Touche Ross & Co. (now known as Deloitte & Touche). Mr. Hochman has publicly spoken on numerous occasions for FICPA chapters and other professional organizations regarding continuing education and tax and estate planning.
Mr. Hochman practices in the areas of estate planning, tax planning, corporate, partnership and commercial matters, as well as general practice.
